Gears of War: E-Day
Gears of War: E-Day open beta access guide
Use the official E-Day beta page to confirm that a session is live and that your account is eligible before troubleshooting the client. A preloaded build can remain locked between test windows.
Before the session#
- Convert the published time to your local time zone and note the date rollover.
- Update the Xbox app, Microsoft Store or Steam client before downloading the game build.
- On PC, compare CPU, GPU, RAM, storage and operating-system requirements with your actual system.
- Link the correct Microsoft/Xbox account and keep enough free space for unpacking, not only the listed download size.
Rewards and Horde Siege#
Beta rewards normally require a specific action, milestone or completed match. Screenshot the completion screen and keep the same account linked for launch. Horde Siege availability can be limited to a session or playlist; an absent tile does not necessarily mean the installation is broken.
Common beta fixes#
Restart the client after maintenance, verify files, disable overlays, update the GPU driver and test without an overclock. For connection errors, check official server messaging before changing router settings. Record the error code and platform when reporting a bug.
