Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 update and PC file-size reduction
Season 9.5 includes balance changes and a PC texture-storage rework reported to reduce the installed footprint by up to 40GB. “Up to” matters: the result depends on platform, language packs and the files already installed.
Before updating#
Keep more free space than the final reduction suggests. Patchers often need temporary room to download, unpack and replace archives before deleting old data. Do not cancel during the file-reorganization stage.
If the install size does not shrink#
Restart the launcher, confirm the new version, let verification finish, and check whether optional language or high-resolution packages remain installed. Avoid manually deleting game archives; use the launcher's verify or repair function.
Balance changes#
Build advice written before 9.5 may use outdated health, cooldown or damage values. Confirm any important breakpoint on the live hero screen and consult the current official notes before changing a competitive lineup.
