Monster Hunter Wilds
Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo guide
Capcom's Prologue Demo lets players try the opening portion and provides a save-transfer path to the full game. Use the same platform account and keep the demo save installed until the full game has imported it successfully.
Download and offline play#
Use your platform's official store page and reserve extra space beyond the download size for unpacking. “Offline only” can describe the demo's available content rather than a promise that no initial entitlement check is required, so launch once while connected.
Weapons#
Use the demo to test weapon feel, controls and performance. Available equipment may be limited by early-game progression; absence from the prologue does not mean a weapon is missing from the full release.
Save transfer#
Match region, platform account and game edition. Launch the demo on its current version, save normally, close it, then use the full game's import prompt. Do not rename or manually move console saves.
Source check#
Verified August 7, 2026 against Capcom's official Monster Hunter Wilds demo page and the official Steam announcement.
